Surprise is flatly unwanted except surprising benefits unexpected by the client, Fu-Tai did it! Taipei MRT's Muzha line runs on elevated tracks through most hustle and bustle areas of the Metropolitan, where space scarcity presents a seemingly unbeatable challenge. Our team brainstormed a delicate solution of accommodating the electrical rooms to the overhead structure. Client was much delighted of being bailed out the plight at no extra cost.

Our engineering's capability in tackling with challenge of space constraints can be traced back to some 25 years ago, when we provided service to China Shipbuilding Corporation for the detailed design and engineering of offshore drilling rigs and platforms. Our neat and compact design to incorporate all the necessary facilities and piping was highly appreciated by said client and won consequently for the rest of their offshore projects.

Pursuing the path of economic development in Taiwan, Fu-Tai had in the past 30 years been involved in the engineering and construction for clients from extremely diversified segments. Our projects range from offshore drilling rig and platform, airport fueling system, car assembly, food processing, textile plant, to large hospital, nuclear waste storage, and mass rapid transport system. For instance, we have designed and supervised construction of car assembly and painting shop, casting workshop, dormitory and cafeteria for Ford Lio Ho. Another similar project was providing design and field supervision for Hua-Tung Motor Corp. (then a subsidiary of General Motor).

Thanks to the sound track records, Mitsubishi, a de facto construction leader of Taiwan Shinkansen Consortium, awarded Fu-Tai a contract for the supervision of engineering, procurement and construction of the communication, signal and OCS systems for the Taiwan's very first high speed railway. This project suggests Fu-Tai's capability in meeting new frontier challenges.
